Audacy Finally Files to Move KDWN and KXST to KXNT Site

It’s been silent for a year. Many station resume operations for one day, then go silent again.
You really think Audacy would do that at a site where the engineers watched you watching them when the stations signed off?

Sure, they could've gotten an STA to operate somewhere else while attempting to get the new triplex built out. But from the beginning corporate only let the local engineers attempt to build it out if it wouldn't cost them anything. Content and revenue generation-wise the K-Dawn format still exists on 101.5 and i doubt much in the way of revenue was lost moving the national Bet QL network feed from 1140 to 98.5 HD2.

duplicate, sorry

RIP KDWN and KXST. KDWN was a regular here at night for many years, and I was grateful to pick up KXST on that final DX test. Lots of history at both stations, only just memories now.

I used to pick up KDWN in Lynnwood, WA in the 1980s (Some nights, it was so strong, it bleeded over KIRO,) KDWN at the time broadcast from a hotel or a casino.
