Although they don't go as far back as Audacy's 2 stations - 104.3 JAMS in Chicago and 94.7 The Block in NYC, Beasley's HOT 96.9 plays some older Hip-Hop.I think someone is likely to go Classic Hip Hop in the next year. Maybe 94.5

Speculation is fine, but you might name specifics as to weak performing stations and the time frame.I think someone is likely to go Classic Hip Hop in the next year. Maybe 94.5
I think Hot 96.9 would likely play less throwbacks if 94.5 went to Classic Hip Hop.Although they don't go as far back as Audacy's 2 stations - 104.3 JAMS in Chicago and 94.7 The Block in NYC, Beasley's HOT 96.9 plays some older Hip-Hop.
Jamn has been weak off and on. My speculation would be after the next couple ratings periods that the change could happen depending on ratings. I think this last period was a bit better for Jamn so we shall see. And yup, no inside knowledge. Just speculation.Speculation is fine, but you might name specifics as to weak performing stations and the time frame.
Format changes during the ongoing (and seemingly never-ending) pandemic are costly and have little immediate impact.
Just speculation.Does this come from an intelligent source. Or do you (inappropriate words deleted by moderator)?
Interesting, and it would make the most sense, ut can you count on Iheart to make a decision based on the criteria of sense?KISS 108 will blow up its format in 2022 and become the FM simulcast for WBZ Newsradio 1030.
As long as Matt Segal is doing mornings, nothing is going to happen to Kiss 108, of course!Interesting, and it would make the most sense, ut can you count on Iheart to make a decision based on the criteria of sense?
If I heart's decision is based on Matt Segal's show, then the change is in playAs long as Matt Segal is doing mornings, nothing is going to happen to Kiss 108, of course!
Both 'BZ and Kiss are doing well. No reason to fix what is not broken. Besides, iHeartRadio is a shrewd broadcaster these days.If I heart's decision is based on Matt Segal's show, then the change is in play
You are entitled to your opinion, but in Boston alone, they have a proven track record of having successful radio stations. That is a fact, and not an opinion. But it's Iheart. They " fix" was isn't broken every day
All your points are well taken, but one cautionary note: Nielsen cume numbers are not additive. There is considerable duplication between those 4 station you refer to, so the figure is nearly one million less in unduplicated cume. They have a cume audience of well over 2 million listeners just with these four stations.
