What will be the new format for WRCA?

On the poor reception on all the Beasley signals that are carrying Bloomberg, WRCA was on and off then as well.

I think both the signals are performing according to their specs....and the reception has been fine.

I think 106.1 exceeded anyone's expectations for how well the signal would do with a mere 99 watts.

The 106.1 signal needs to be upgraded at all costs as long as they call themselves Bloomberg 106.1

At all costs? I don't think so....

My guess is they are all happy with the signal and the deal with Bloomberg.

Bloomberg is thrilled to be on FM in downtown Boston.

How do you know, Wimmex?

What brand of radio were you using, Marc B?

A Sony Walkman I got for like $30 that has AM/FM/Weather. (It replaced and older model I had that looked the same that also had TV).

Are you sure that wasn't 1330 WWRL from NYC?

No, it wasn't 1330 WWRV from NYC. It had to be WRCA because it was Bloomberg Programming. I heard faint Spanish programing underneath, which would be WWRV. They are Spanish Religion. WWRL is 1600 in NYC and runs a Desi (Indian) Format.

No. After 7PM last night (Monday) they were blasting in like a local at my location in Southington, Connecticut.
Yup, they came back on sometime between 4:15-5:15pm.
Maybe they were doing something to the STL, in terms of using it for the addition of Newburyportʼs 1.450/106.1 signals?—Yeah, I know, if that is the case, then 106.1 should have been dead air, since 106.1 should be translating 1.330 (not the other way around)...although 1.330 is first, with about a .25 sec. delay to 106.1 (Boston) and now 1.450, which appears equal (time-wise) to 106.1.
But who would know the difference, except for us radio geeks?!

Really? A Sony Walkman?!
I live 25 miles w/nw of Boston, and I haven't been able to pick up WRCA during the day with my GE Superradio. Generally speaking, I'm disappointed with that so- called DXing, reception radio

WRCA has a directional null to the w/nw of Boston, seemingly even in the daytime. They're weak even on a good car radio in their old COL Waltham. Pretty good signal east over metro Boston, though.

I guess the no longer make the radio. And the ones that remain vary in price. This place is selling it for $100. Most places are selling it used. I saw it's still listed on Walmart's site but it says This Item is no longer available. I bought this several years ago at my local Walmart.
