XEAU 1470 HISTORY

Hey Guys:

While I was doing research I see that XEAU 1470 went Top 40 as X-O Radio in 1961 replacing XEAK THE MIGHTY 690. Then it went country.

Would anybody know what year 1470 went country and how long the format lasted?

It is interesting to see english formats on Mexican Frequencies.

Thanks

T.J.

XEAU actually went top 40 while 690 was still going as Top 40 too. Before 690 switched to all news, XEAU went country. Studios were in Chula Vista where tapes were made and hand delivered to the Tijuana operation. As top 40 X-O radio it sounded pretty cool with a lot of high energy sounders.

Are there airchecks available? I'd love to hear them.
