MMTC got it, then sold it to the current owner.

I know two people who were interested and made an offer but were flat out ignored, including another nearby station owner

A quick tax write-off was likely more attractive to the liquidators of O'Shaughnessy's estate. The terms don't include the studio or transmitter site.

I've said this before, but "Caribbean Music" is about as specific as "European Music". Many countries, a half dozen or so languages, and many types and styles within the category of "music".

That however is how they bill themselves..if they can't be called Carribbean what does one call them? I've never heard any other term

Anyone local to Westchester have any idea what happened to the WVOX studio building and tower site? Is it still listed for sale?

I visited the station site today. Workers were dismantling its single tower. The buildings appeared to be intact.

I too passed by the New Rochelle site yesterday afternoon. The WVOX tower is no more.
As a sidebar, the location & tower is still listed as an auxiliary TL for their former FM, WVIP, now WNVU. That authorization transferred with the rest of the 93.5 licenses back when that deal closed. For $8 million, I would hope that Hudson Westchester Radio informed the new owner know that they could no longer use the backup site.

Well the domain is worth more than the station. WVOX.COM is for sale on GoDaddy for $35,000. The station sold for less. Go figure.
