WTSP New Look

I just noticed that WTSP updated their logo somewhat. It now includes the CBS eye in the corner and chops off some of the circle around the "10".

I'm happy to see the network logo, but when viewed from a distance on their news where it's a negative of the above image, the partial circle combined with the "1" gives an impression of a "6", making it look to like channel 60.

Meanwhile, their news presentation has gone to a move-around-the-newsroom format focusing less on hard news and more on social/viral stuff.

Yes, channel WTSP 10's Logo has changed and they have a new news set and are focusing more on fluff/social media than actual relevant local news and regrettably though not to the same extent, but the other local channels are repeating some of the same stories for a long as three or four days and most of these are "feel good" segments while real local news is taking a backseat..........WTSP is just the leader in fluff. Between that and only one local daily newspaper left in metro Pinellas-Hillsborough county, it is getting harder and harder to get local news.

I've also noticed more news story sharing (proabably due in part to less reporters to do as many local stories as in the past). WFTS ABC, has sister station in West Palm Beach (NBC-5) and a Scripts owned newspaper in Naples, Fl, so WFTS is having nearly as "Local segments" from NBC-5 and stories from Fort Myers/Naples. WFLA channel 8 is also sharing a lot of segments from their sister stations in Charleston,SC and Houston,TX and FOX 13-WTVT is doing the same with various Fox affiliates.

On the cable scene, Spectrum (a division of Charter), their local cable news channel Bay News 9 is showing a lot of segments out of Orlando from their sister local cable news station - Central Florida 13.
