WPFR/Terre Haute and WPFR-FM/Clinton sold

At the end of May, revised filings were made describing the sale of the following facilities:

WPFR 1480 (Terre Haute)
WPFR-FM 93.7 (Clinton)
WKZI 800 (Casey, IL)
WLHW (Casey, IL)
plus three translators in Casey, Greenup, IL and Terre Haute

The transaction includes the 33 acres of WPFR's tower site, and an agreement that the buyer shall move WPFR-FM off of property owned by the seller, after closing.

The buyer is American Hope Communications. The principal of American Hope is a pastor, and runs another station (WJLY) in southern Illinois with Moody Bible programming, so we can presume religious formats will continue on all.

Sales price is $179,000.
 
This transaction closed at the start of November. However, WPFR 1480 is on a silent STA again, reporting transmitter problems.

A CP has been issued this week for WPFR-FM to move to Mike Rice's 107.5 tower near St. Mary of the Woods college.
 
Not really, but I don't know the true conditions of the 1480 transmitter facility.
If it's cheap enough to fix, or the licensee has a plan to air a second program on 1480 and its translator, maybe it will come back.
