Wow it got quiet in Waco!

Speaking of quiet, anyone know what’s going on with magic 94.5? Is anyone even checking on it or operating the station? Because some days it’ll be operating normally and some days it’s dead air. And if I remember correctly don’t stations get fined for dead air?

technically, as *I* read the rules, as long as they ran a legal id, and could demonstrate control of the transmitter, they could run dead air and that wouldnt be a finable offense.

im not a lawyer

I'm gonna send an email to Jerry Lenamon, who owns, but doesnt program 94.5

That is correct. I remember one year when a station ran dead air during the Super Bowl because "no one is going to be listening anyway." It ran a legal at the top of the hour but was otherwise broadcasting absolutely nothing.
