WNEP Swaps Meteorologists

Scranton ABC affiliate WNEP is changing its chiefs, with Kurt Aaron moving from the 10 and 11 p.m. weather anchor role to noon, 4, 5, and 6 p.m. and picking up the title chief meteorologist.

Aaron takes over the chief’s role from Tom Clark, who retires today after taking a Tribune buyout after 34 years.

WNEP news director Carl Abraham told TV News Check the evening weather forecasting duties will fall to John Hickey, who arrives January 9 from WPTZ in Burlington, Vermont.

Additionally, Ally Gallo joins the station from WJHG in Panama City, Florida. Gallo begins January 2 and will anchor weekend weather forecasts.
