I saw this quote on their website (I'd really like to work there...
someday)

"Religion is a lot like radio -- you never know who’s listening."
Father Guido Sarducci (aka Don Novello)

They actually have openings, but you must live on Martha's Vineyard (the island off the Massachusetts coast) in order to work there.

Yeah -- that would be a problem. I am way down south...and my
wife loves living in the warmer areas of the USA.
But -- in another life, I'd would enjoy working there.

WORK in Radio and LIVE on Martha's Vineyard? Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha! You'd better be a trust-fund baby who doesn't need the cash...

Exactly. A station like that would never be posting job openings if it was in a more accessible area. It would have applicants banging down the doors.

But, as you say, unless you're independently wealthy, I don't know how you could live on such a small but extremely upscale resort island and get by on an entry-level radio job, and commuting by ferryboat is such a hassle at times (impossible in certain weather conditions) that the station doesn't want to risk hiring someone living on the mainland.
