Sounds like my friend on the FM side. Hence WXTB being on top. Oh and without the Dove.

It might be more telling if we listed why each station made the cut for our preset buttons.

I don't really care for a several of the stations I have within easy access... they're just there so I can check in and get a quick smile. :D

I'll explain why my presets were selected-

106.3, Enjoy The Oldies. Love it that I can hear anything from 1954 til the 80s on this station.
WJQB also does a good Doo Woop shop on sunday nights. I also enjoy the themed
weekend music specials. Example- The weekend before the 18th they did a IRS event.
Playing Irresistible Records from the Sixties. Its signal is also really good where I'm at.
105.5, Need I explain. Can hear music from Louis Armstrong to The Carpenters. Very relaxing
to listen to.
97.1- I do enjoy alternative rock as well. I feel 97X does a great job with playing the best
new rock. The station just plain sounds better than 98Rock. 97X even does a New
Song showdown every evening. Playing 2 new songs and having listeners vote on
them. 97x does good when it comes to playing what listeners (Myself) want. Al-tough
97x is a weak signal I have little difficulty picking them up due to dead band conditions.
Unless I'm traveling towards the eastern side of the county.
107.3- Listen to this station when I want to listen to Classic 70's and 80's rock. But without
all the really heavy stuff. Example- Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac.
95.3- Occasionally listen when I want to listen to New Music. Plus my family (and myself)
like the syndicated Bob and Sheri show.
98.5- Station I listen to when in Ocala and Gainesville. (Or when 95.3 is airing sports.)
Does a good job playing anything from Elton John to Taylor Swift. Good AC format,
The only thing I don't like too much is Deliah. Sounds much better than the robotic
Magic 949.

FM2-
93.7- Listen to this one when I want Country. Or as my Ocala/ Gville station
92.9- Plays Classic Hits from 70s and 80s. Listen when in Ocala
100.7- Station I listen to this when 95.3 is in sports or In Tampa/ Lakeland.
But wanted something a little more energetic than AC 98.5 KTK.
Sounds better than Magic and has good musical variety.
Station has a weak signal so I don't listen often however.
Hence why its on FM-2.
105.9- Another CBS Classic Hits station. Don't listen a lot though. Weak signal.
Has some good music but not enough 60's to be called "Sunny FM."
Sounds very sterile and VT'ed.
101.5- Listen when I want 80's music. May listen when driving down towards
Tampa, Lakeland and the Pasco Area.
97.9- My friend likes this station.

Ok, I went back and listed the motivation for my picks...

FM

1. 102.5 WHPT (Terrible music, BUT they have Bubba mornings & Cowhead afternoons!)
2. 97.9 WXTB (Music is also pretty bad, yet slightly better than The Bone)
3. 88.5 WMNF (Pretty good when they're not begging, or playing folk music, or doing "news")
4. 104.7 WRBQ (Occasionally they play something I haven't heard in the last 3 days)
5. 107.3 WXGL (Occasionally they play something I haven't heard in the last day)
6. 105.5 WDUV (They are Tampa Bay's top rated station! How could they NOT be on a preset???)

AM

1. 1340 WTAN (They let me do a show there)
2. 970 WFLA (Used to be a great station, so they still get a preset even though they suck now)
3. 820 WWBA (Needs to be purged from my presets)
4. 860 WGUL (I like to remind myself how terrible they sound since I quit working there)
5. 1250 WHNZ (Has the Phil Hendrie show at night)
6. 1150 WTMP (Has funky music)

OK why not...
FM-1:
1. 93.3 FLZ (to keep up with the latest in CHR)
2. 94.1 I like some occasional hip-hop
3. 94.9 not too bad lately, but automatic station switch when I hear
Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, or the song "Bubbly"
4. Max 98.3 By far my favorite station, the variety keeps me listening,
too bad it comes in only fair in Tampa (Tampa translator, anyone?) Tampa needs a classic hits station
with the playlist this station has (Scritti Politti's "Perfect Way", Janet Jackson's "What Have You Done For Me Lately", Bob Welch's "Ebony Eyes"). They don't "dumb" their listeners down with the same 200 tunes on shuffle.
5. Mix 100.7 a "fairly" good station, but change it when I hear a song I've heard a few hundred times
in the last few months (their "current" songs are CHR's recurrents...it gets old fast)
6. 105.5 A station that feels like home. I love the older R&B classics (Always and Forever, Kiss and Say
Goodbye, How 'Bout Us, etc.) and I love the 'not too often heard' 60s tunes.

FM-2:
1. 97.1 a little rock to keep ya pumpin' when the mood strikes
2. Play 98.7 a station to listen to in case the other stations are playing commercials
3. 100.1 (Pt. Charlotte/Ft.Myers) Z-100 when I'm in the Sarasota area, rhythmic oldies/freestyle/party jams
4. 101.5 Ugh, what other choice is there for 80s in Tampa. Instant change of station the second "Once In A Lifetime" by Talking Heads comes on (twice a day now), and it never even charted on the Hot 100. How many times can you listen to "Don't Stop' Believin'" before you punch a wall? They need to seriously look into Joel Whitburn's Top 40 books and/or online at Alaska Jim's site.
5. Q-105 104.7 They're gettin' better, hey I heard "Hold On Tight" by ELO a few weeks back! Just about had to pull over while driving!
6. 107.3 The Eagle- A 400 song music library is better than nothin', thank God I'm a Journey/Foreigner/Fleetwood Mac fan!

As for AM...I really only like 970 AM, especially for Coast to Coast AM late at night and for the "top of the hour" news throughout the day.

That's it kids. ;D

88.7 so I can listen to either my XM add on or HD add on converter....

I still say it's the date of the Harold Camping death watch in New York.
