WAY-FM returns to 91.9 and has HD Deal with WDKS (Townsquare)...

1st...91.9 at 10 watts and 808 feet HAAT...
2nd..92.1 at 20 and then 150 watts and 808 feet HAAT...
3rd...Back to 91.9 with an "HD-1" repeater agreement with Townsquare's CHR, WDKS/Kiss-106...250 watts and 808 feet HAAT...

Wanting some signal reports from the Evansville gang... The new arrangement gives Way some opportunity to do more local content, as a non-com outlet.... 92.1 was 'too line of site' up the Wabash Valley Basin, and 92.1 Vincennes was cuttiing into the 150 watter on the near north side.... 91.9 at 10 watts had a better 'fizzy' coverage.. So with the HD-1 deal, I'd like to know how 91.9 is sounding in Newburgh, Evansville, Henderson and out to Boonville (east) and Mt. Vernon (west)....The 54dBU gets to the edges of Boonville and Mt. Vernon.. The 60dBU is just about a mile less than 106.1 (both on the WEVV tower, above the river in Henderson County)... Let me know...

"Skipper T." ;D

WOW! That's the 51 to 48dBU on a 250 watter... Sounds like it's rolling up the Ohio and Green River Valleys into O'boro... Thanks!

250 watts seems to be just about the right power level for translators around Evansville and Hendo to get into the OWB clearly. I listen to WSON's translator on 96.5 quite often, especially during baseball season (Go Cardinals!!!), and it's easy to pull in.

Yes, When WSON put 96.5 on (duplexed at 808 feet), Way moved to 92.1 (Commerical opportunity with the HD-1, coming).. But, could only get 150 watts and WSDM was putting nails in Evansville at the Lloyd Expressway and north.. Not good! So, they filed and went back to 91.9 at 250 watts... They were running 10 to 20 watts satellite translator, originally at 91.9... No 'thru the wall' reception.. But, this will give them the signal of an old Class "A" and just about a full Class "A" on the FM side and the Kiss-Fm 60dBU on the HD-1 side...

Now... Way bought WUEV (WJWA) and is now on 91.5.. Moved the antenna to where the translators were on WEVV's tower.... Lowered the wattage to 500 at 190 meters/623.36 feet above average terrain... Better coverage compared to the 6.1kw on the old UE tower (at 36 meters above average terrain... They also have Hip-Hop/CCM on 100.1..Way-Now! 43 watts at 178 meters/583.99 feet above average terrain... That is fed from EVSC's HD off 90.7, WPSR...
