As of yesterday, smooth jazz on WAUN 92.7 (translators 96.9 Green Bay and 98.9 Sturgeon Bay) is no more. The station is now Regional Mexican as "La Mas Grande."
WAUN had been a Jones affiliate, then transitioned to the BA network after JRN Smooth Jazz ended. They flipped to the Smooth AC network for a time but returned to the Smooth Jazz network about a year or so ago.
The new format still fills a niche, as they're the only Spanish station on terrestrial analog radio in the Green Bay area. Still sad to see another SJ station vanish though, even if it was (what used to be) BA.
