Vinylthon 2020 is April 18!

Hi everyone,

Coming on Saturday, April 18, 2020 is Vinylthon 2020. The event is basically a charity event for the radio industry, whereby radio stations commit to playing vinyl for least one hour of the day to celebrate the musical format of vinyl and ALSO help support the event's mission of supporting the next generation of broadcasters. Some stations go a full 24-hours of vinyl-only music and earn the Golden Slipmat Award!

You can find out more information here: https://www.vinylthon.com/

Last year we had Joann Jett and Kenny Laguna as our official ambassadors. The event also takes place the same day as Record Store Day, and there is some relationship there. In the past stations have done live remotes from record stores.

Check it out. As founder of the event, I want to invite all radio stations to participate. It's a genuinely fun event for both broadcasters and listeners alike. There is a fee of $99 for commercial radio stations (free for non-commercial) - but that goes straight into the College Radio Foundation to help keep college radio stations on the air and support the kids who do college radio - hopefully the future generation of professional broadcasters!

Happy to answer any questions...
