Joke, I mean, Jack is NOT doing well in Indianapolis.

Yeah, I guess Top 4 25-54 is a major disappointment (especially with a direct competitor). I'd look for a format change soon. That big increase in revenue is probably something they'd be happy to get rid of, too.

And, now, back to reality.

25 to 54? No agency is trying to reach that broad of a demo. The tastes, activities, and income levels of a 25 year old and their 54 year old parents are not the same. That's reality.

No agency is trying to reach the 25-54 demo? riiiiight

You're the one thats not in reality.

for the umpteenth time

Over and over and over again, AFTER I've explained the concept of 25-54 (which everybody with a brain knows no station goes after everybody top to bottom in that demo), you ALWAYS come back with the same, stupid statement.

OF COURSE no station ever tries to appeal to 25 yr olds equally as 54 yr olds.
DUH! Oldest news in the book and I've explained this oh-so-simple thing to you before. But it is the key adult sales demo- not MY idea or concept, but RADIO'S major sales demo. Honest to pete, sometimes it just seems you say something stupid just to say you said something.

Have you nothing better in your book of games?

save yo breath

He/she's done this before- either a total moron or really ignorant, just can't figure it out. I've explained 25-54 (that adult stations target a cell within the broader 25-54 demo, not the whole thing) to them before (obviously) to no avail.

More like Supidwolf.

And to a lesser extent in Chicago (only because WJMK didn't have the heritage that CBS-FM had). And as long as the one columnist people in Chicago radio read is going to continue to praise Dick Biondi to the skies, Jack will continue to have a hard time in Chicago.

Jack FM

One columnist will not make or break any one radio station, especially not in Chicago. People will either like it or not like it, Dick Biondi (great as he is) notwithstanding.

I thought Biondi was in Deeetroit. Then again, according to
everything I have read on RI - Detroit has nothing of merit
to offer, so Mr. Biondi must be elsewhere? Heck, the city
can't even get a damn RI board. What gives????

(OC, this is like the cardboard thing at Gator - parody.)

Det

Yes, Dick Biondi is a Chicago legend (you may be confusing him with Motor City legend Dick Purtan).

I consider Detroit and Chicago to be among the greatest historical radio markets. I banged the drum for a Detroit radio board, but am always told "there's one already" (not on RI). Still, I find it fascinating there's not one for the #9 market in America but there are boards for places in PA like Altoona, State College, Central PA, Lehigh Valley, Reading and Northeast PA, incredible bastions of American radio. It makes zero sense.

Its all because of that buzz board on the other site. I still think there should be a Detroit board on this site anyway. I doubt it would take away that much traffic from the other site.

It would be very nice if their was a Detroit board on RI. I probably know the least about the Detroit market.

Re: Det

At least if RI absolutely has to stand by for the Buzzboard, at least link it on the main menu.<P ID="signature">______________

Det board link

that makes great sense.

That's what I get for taking 30 seconds to run through RI!
You are right I meant Purtan. What was I thinkin'? What do I know
about Yankee radio stations, anyway? How's that fight
for your Detroit board going? The whole South (esp. N FL)
would love to support your fight (again) for the Detroit
board, so you would just leave us alone and allow the
Gator to finally have a bona fide listener. Back to
our sun-filled 70 degree week. LOL. I still don't do
Country.
