U. of Houston buying Rice U. student radio station

KPFT, the Pacifica station in Houston, is offering a HD2 channel to Rice's soon-to-be-web-only KTRU.

Personally I think that's very nice of them to do that, but while I don't have any specific knowledge of the situation - speaking generally I fear Rice University would freak out about being associated in any way with the "left wing weirdos" of Pacifica. Although perhaps this will spur Rice to demand that KUHF make an HD2 channel available to relay the web-only KTRU?
