Tune in 1170 some evening

If you want to hear what it sounds like to run a daytime station at night with full daytime power, tune in 1170 and hear WDEK in Lexington SC rip WWVA apart with their beach/jazz music format. WDEK is licensed for 2500 watts critical hours and 10000 watts daytime with owners from the Philadelphia area! With the FCC out and about as much as they are, I'm surprised WDEK hasn't been nailed yet!

My friend who does engineering for them fixed the WDEK problem, it was the device that changes power and turns the station off. The Sine System lost it's mind. John Broomfield owns WDEK. He lives in the metro Columbia, SC area.

And then there was a spanish speaking station for awhile that didn't sign off either.
