Heard this on 94.1 driving home tonight. LaFortune Park is going to be a jumping place tomorrow!

Broadcast Unity Day for Hurricane Relief

(Tulsa, OK) -- In an unprecedented move, 23 Tulsa radio stations will conduct an on-location broadcast this Friday, September 9th. The broadcasts, from LaFortune Park, are an effort to raise funds for the American Red Cross' Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

Each broadcast outlets will originate programming from the 58th and South Yale parking lot. Hours are from 6AM-through 6PM.

Hosts from each station will broadcast an appeal for monetary donations and listeners will be invited to stop by and meet the radio personalities. While radio stations and group operations have raised money separately, this is the first time that all of the Tulsa area radio outlets have agreed to work together to achieve a common goal.

Tulsa area television stations have also been invited to take part. <P ID="signature">______________

$131,800!

Tulsa area residents gave $131,800.00 today. It was an incredible site to behold.

Re: $131,800!

Nice job!

Did DelGiorno even show up? He was making BIG threats on the air earlier in the week. Sounded like he wanted to start some trouble with the new guy at KRMG. Missed the festivities, but wanted to know if I missed any of the action.

Hopefully, he stayed away from the event and let the broadcast community do what they were there to do. I think Michael has lost touch with reality and his fellow broadcaster probably didn't want him around.
