Traffic department Specific site/boards/threads

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know of any traffic specific threads or sites for traffic people?

Thank you guys for any input!
Good morning, Radiohead44. I have seen some traffic-related content in the Engineering section on this board. Perhaps a designated traffic thread might be something Mr. Berry and Mr. Eduardo might consider. I know I am interested in Simian and Natural Log and how they complement each other. (Also, as a big Alt Rock fan, I like your username!)

This would be the proper place to discuss traffic and logging.
If there is enough traffic-related activity, we can create a "traffic" board.
And it is important to note that in this case "Traffic" means the scheduling of commercials and other announcements, not cars on the highway.

There are two areas where computerized systems are involved:
  • Scheduling software like Marketron that input ad contracts (as well as PSAs and even promos at some stations), sort and schedule them and create a commercial log.
  • Broadcast systems like Prophet, WideOrbit, Simian, Zetta, that take the commercial log and the music log, combine them and then play them back on the air according to a schedule framework.
Most significant stations use MusicMaster or GSelector for music scheduling.

Marketron is the bigger one in commercial scheduling. WideOrbit is also a major player in this area, as they have both a scheduling system and an on-air content system.
