Tom Skilling taking time off from WGN TV for gastric bypass surgery

Robert Feder had a report this afternoon that Tom Skilling is taking time off from WGN TV as he will undergo gastric bypass surgery to make an effect on weight loss, here is his report https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/02/29/tom-skilling-undergo-gastric-bypass-surgery/ . Tom Skilling had made his announcement on his Facebook page, according to the report. His medical leave will start on Tuesday, as his surgery is on Wednesday, and he expects to be out for 4 to 6 weeks. He of course is the chief meteorologist at WGN TV. Robert Feder also includes his letter to his fans, and he has talked to other people that have also went through this surgery some have told him that it could be a matter of 2 to 3 weeks. He has in his letter that he will be on tv on Monday, so you can look for him to do his reports at his regular time on Monday, and that Tuesday is when his leave will start. And that of course if all goes well and it takes 4 to 6 weeks. WGN TV officials have declined to comment due to confidentiality rules.
