The Best Bottled Water comes from where...

A) a Municipal Supply:
B) a Spring, or Mountain Spring:

Example 1, Sparkletts (City Water) vs Arrowhead (Spring Water) (West Coast)

Example 2, Zepherhills (Spring Water) vs Crystal (City Water) (East Coast)

Name your favorite, and cite it's source. If it says bottled by Reverse Osmosis, or De-ionized, or both, you have picked the best!. Who wants to drink water from a Glacier that a Polar Bear Pooped on, or some unknown 'Spring' in Love Canal New York?.

I like that stuff from Fiji. There's this store in downtown Calgary that has a fridge filled with bottled water. From the general spring waters from 'Springs' in Canada to Pellegrino.
______________

I loved Aberfoyle, before Nestle bought it. The original was spring water from Wellington County, Ontario. It tasted great and was cheap. I think that it is now purified water from Tennessee, and it's pretty awful.

Evian is good, but too expensive. I usually buy Dannon.

I agree with Evian..I buy it on sale..
Sometimes I can get it for a dollar per liter at Acme.

Dannon tastes a close second to Evian.
I thought Nestle owned Dannon as well..and I noticed their name on a
Poland Springs bottle recently. The Nestle' Pure Life isn't too bad for a purified water. But the Dasani (made by Coke I think )is just awful..not a substitute for Evian as they try to market it.

I can't resist ...

... the "gourmet water" from the hose in back of the restaurant on Penn & Teller's Bullsh*t episode from season one on bottled water.
______________

I just had a passing thought...when I was visiting Switzerland, I had the opportunity to cross Lake Leman (Lake of Geneva => if you are Swiss) to Evian, France on a pleasure boat. My friend with me made a joke about us sailing on Evian....the factory is awful close to the Lake...LOL

I don't know the source of Evian...but it still makes me laugh when i think about it.

Why don't you like Dasani? It's Crisp & Clean like Coke!

Dannon has that Springy Taste. Out of all the "Spring" Brands mentioned so far, Fuji does tastes good, and the bottle is beautiful. Plus I think Fuji comes from Mt. Fuji, and it's Glacier water. Aqua Fina is the official Water of Austin Powers. If you want to try some great tasting 'Purified Drinking Water', pick up a case of KMART's Glacier Clear,$3.33 for 24 .5 Liter bottles. I'm drinking some now, yum!.

Some of you have forgotten what you learned in Science class. Water is a clear, colorless, odorless, and tasteless liquid. In other words, if you taste water, you’re actually tasting something IN the water.

Also, if you think some bottlers sell water from a glacier that was pooped on by a bear, you’re forgetting where the water you shower / bathe with comes from…

Not so true...

I can taste the difference between Spring Water, and De Ionized Purified Reverse Osmosis City Water any day. With that said, I had a friend who preferred Distilled Water. I asked him if he was an Iron, a Battery or a Radiator?

that I prefer Deer Park, cheap, and Nestles name is on this as well.

CVS {as in the pharmacy}natural spring water.Taste great low price. For brand name Poland Spring.

Some known sources

There was a special on this recently on MSNBC.

Poland Spring is really "Poland Spring", the source of the water for the city of Lewiston, ME. (A side piece of trivia, WMTW, the TV station who used to be on Mt. Washington is licensed to "Poland Spring, ME".

Dasani is New York City filtered Tap Water
Aqua Fina is Detroit filtered tap water
Evian is from France.

I use a Brita Filter Pitcher for my tap water in The Philadelphia Area..
Could I bottle it and sell it as Purified water?

Suppose you could, but..

I just don't trust those type of filtration devices. Today's trapped particles are tomorrow's brew? Now if you bought an in home Deionization/Reverse Osmosis unit, I'd come drink with you! I'll bring my own Water for you to taste:)
