I almost cried when I saw that U87 being wasted in that manner. With all that processing crap after the U87, a Shure SM-58 would probably sound just as good, and stand up to Stern's fondling alot better. He could beat the '58 on the desk and it wouldn't care...
But then again, I guess an SM58 just wouldn't *LOOK* as cool on TV... Bleh. What a waste.
