Shadoe Stevens is best known for his TV roles like Hollywood Squares (John Davidson edition 1986-1989, Tom Bergeron and Whoopi Goldberg edition from 1998-2004) and Dave's World. Here is Stevens hosting American Top 40 in between his TV roles. Note there is a three year gap between the end of Shadoe Stevens and Casey Kasem's second stint. And now Ryan Seacrest time at American Top 40 reaches its 20th Anniversary this year.

There was even a show called Casey's Top 40 when Westwood One got Casey Kasem under their contract. It took place while Watermark got Shadoe Steven's to do American Top 40. That 1995-1998 gap of American Top 40 has something to do with local CHR and Hot AC stations running with Casey's top 40 in its place and how Casey Kasem's shows were popular at that time.
