What? The long list of messages on the board wasn't enough to answer your question? Or was this yet another attempt to keep Russ' name at the top of the topic pool?
I guess not. Here's your answer.
Yes. He was on. Nothing has changed. Here's what you missed.
Russ bitched, called everyone idiots, couldn't make heads or tails out of anything JD said, asked Clo if it was time for a break, came back and bitched at Gavin then Rob then Gavin, a bunch of BS phone calls, blah blah blah on and on.
In other words, you've missed nothing.
I'm listening to less and less of this show every day. At least with Best Of they cut out all the crap and the 20 minute spot breaks.

Re: Too much is, quite simply, not enough

Yes, Speed Racer is back, and thank the Lord, as I've already said, and not a moment too soon. The grass fire danger is now over, as the earth started moving again with Russ's return, and the once-stationary force of the sun is no longer burning a big hole in the dead grassy areas of Palo Pinto County. We can now get on with winter and the rest of our lives. What a relief. My appetite's coming back now, and I might even let the children go outside for a little while. I noticed the ants have started taking down the banks of dirt around their mounds now, and the cat has quit making that dreadful, somber, whimpering "mooorrroooow" noise. Even the tires on the Toyota have somehow aired themselves back up, and my usual sneezy reaction to excessive fungus spores in the air has stopped all on its own. Life is good. I think I'll go back to work tomorrow, long as I can have things wound up by 3:00. 3 to 7 is His and my time together. FREE at last, FREE at last.

Russ is my Pilot; I am only the co-pilot.

If Russ is your "Pilot", maybe you'd better switch planes...
______________

If Russ is your pilot your propeller stopped spinning quite some time ago and your Jet exhaust is stuffed up. The trailers in Pleasant Grove are celebrating with a new layer of varnish on the outhouse door. Russ the tiresome unimaginative bit player is on. 7-11 slurpees for everyone!!

Re: OK, it's enough now. In Russ we pray, Amen.

Make mine a Banapple Gas with a big spoon-straw!

Ya know, you can't say we don't have more choices than ever in this day and age! Niche radio formats, and now niche creators! Ya know, Regular God, then Bush's god, and Russell Martin. Wow, which to pick! Hmmm...now which one has the cheaper bible, and doesn't care if I do some weed every once in a while, and won't mind if I beat my wife sometimes? (but only when she needs it. Let's be fair about this.) Ahhh, the varnish fumes are getting to me again...going nighty-night now...sleepy time ok bye bye goodnighxetir'agkldfgkafl;bsdfHSG.nhd~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```````````````````````````

I think you meant, if any of the failed shows/people from this market, (liz wild, don & mike, etc, etc,) are your "pilot", THEN you'd better switch planes (LOL).

Why do some people get so jealous/bitter when they see that someone else does better than they are doing? It's because humans are competitive. But come-on why all the drama? Yes, his show is popular & has big ratings, so his competition has a choice. Either try to copy his show, and hope that you are good enough to get similar ratings. Or try your own style of show, and hope for the best.

Funny how some people can pounding their chest, point their fingers, and foam at the mouth at how much they HATE a given show, even as the ratings prove their opinion wrong time and time again. In the end all they accomplish from all their drama is getting their shoes wet from the rabid foam spewing from the mouth (LOL). If your on the radio & think you can do a better show, then do it and let the ratings prove who is best.

Don't forget, in this day of Political Correctness, you can no longer say "wife beater" when referring to a type of shirt. They are, instead, referred to as "spousal correctional attire"

Thank you and goodnight.
______________

Opinions, by defintion, cannot be wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it is not in line with the majority of the populous. The only reason you hear from them is because they don't like it. "Squeaky wheel" kind of thing, y'know. Actually, I'll go further and call the concept "Minority Rule"...

Anyway, just wanted to point out that just because the ratings support a show doesn't mean that someone's opinion of that show is wrong.

Yea, instead of saying "ratings prove their opinion wrong" I should have said "even as the ratings don't support their opinion, time and time again". Now back to reading more RMS bashing, maybe they will include other successful shows to bash (Stern, Leykis) LOL.
