Re: Too much is, quite simply, not enough
Yes, Speed Racer is back, and thank the Lord, as I've already said, and not a moment too soon. The grass fire danger is now over, as the earth started moving again with Russ's return, and the once-stationary force of the sun is no longer burning a big hole in the dead grassy areas of Palo Pinto County. We can now get on with winter and the rest of our lives. What a relief. My appetite's coming back now, and I might even let the children go outside for a little while. I noticed the ants have started taking down the banks of dirt around their mounds now, and the cat has quit making that dreadful, somber, whimpering "mooorrroooow" noise. Even the tires on the Toyota have somehow aired themselves back up, and my usual sneezy reaction to excessive fungus spores in the air has stopped all on its own. Life is good. I think I'll go back to work tomorrow, long as I can have things wound up by 3:00. 3 to 7 is His and my time together. FREE at last, FREE at last.
Russ is my Pilot; I am only the co-pilot.
