The new owners of the Eagle aren't in the radio business. I wouldn't be surprised if a buyer were to be found for WEEU well before the station is set to go silent.
There are a lot of issues mentioned in the article, but the other is operating the station without the direct connection with the newspaper. Not an uncommon problem. But the resources of a newspaper can be very useful if you're running a radio station.
