R.I.P., Richard Sher

Richard Sher, the creator-writer-host of SAYS YOU!, heard on over 100 public radio stations, died this week of complications from colon cancer at age 66; survived by wife Laura and son Benjamin (who often appeared on his dad's show as "official scorekeeper.") Here's a link to some reminiscences:

Was surprised and saddened to hear of his death this morning via the local announcer intro to the program's start.

One of the articles I read (in The Boston Globe, I believe) said Mr. Sher was very careful to edit out topical material/references so the episodes could be repeated easily.

It's an enjoyable program. It will be interesting to see what they do with it going forward.
