89.7 CJSU Juice FM Duncan BC (on Vancouver Island.) Was CKAY 1500 until 2000, when the CTRC had them migrate to FM. (Hot AC and classic hits hybrid.) Only 3400 watts but a ton of elevation and nothing but saltwater for about 200 degrees.

I'm looking for a list of commercial stations between 88.1 and 91.9 in Canada. I suspect that they are few and far between. Google seems to not be able to find it based on several searches. I'm going to call Radio's Best Friend now to ask him.

I thought CJRT 91.1 Toronto might be an exception, because the call letters appear that way, but it's public.
I know it’s Wikipedia, but I would just search ‘List of radio stations in Ontario’, and so forth for each province. Plenty of commercial stations in the 88-92 range.

Looks like some are AM to FM conversions. Less obvious in many cases by call letter changes, but CKPR is one that stayed the same.

Mainly US Top 40 in 1967, and I remember hearing "Half Breed" by Cher in the Keweenaw Peninsula on 580 in 1973. In 1962, it was Country.

Wow! "Beggin'" at #56! As someone said way back then, "your grandchildren will like this song, but you may not". Not sure how they knew that. I liked the original.

You have to understand they're not selling one station. They're selling 16 million people. Radio is a small part of their deal.

Agreed. National advertising drives the ship these days. Listen to the ratio of national to local spots. It's not a single station but the bigger package.
