I just got an e-mail about the new release and what it upgrades to. My version is qualified for the upgrade and they way they put it, it's gonna happen.

I just got an e-mail about the new release and what it upgrades to. My version is qualified for the upgrade and they way they put it, it's gonna happen.

No, it doesn't have the S&L module, but it is upgradable for it. It's the main player for streaming audio to shoutcast and Live 365. it does everything but schedule and logging.
And I was notified by e-mail recently that it was just developed to 2.0 and it will be automatically upgradeable free of charge.

That's a good question, because I never had the interest in doing that until recently when the DCMA/LIVE 365 enforcement became intact.
I should ask the people at OTS about that. It's interesting to me these days.

They have said that every summer since 2002.... and when it comes along, and people start asking on their lame message boards... the topic gets closed and they say "What we are trying to accomplish here is an amazing product that no other software in the world can do.. we have run into a few hurdles and at this time we do not have a timeline of when 2.0 will be released"... then it brings on the "WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE A STABLE RELEASE OF OTS or AN OTS THAT IS NOIT STABLE?" blah bla bla - its the same thing every year... I seriously would not get my hopes up.

I purchased the license and player in late 2003, and even though it's possible that they delay it.....it stills does everything that most players do. It runs flawless. The only thing I find fault with it, it's not compatible with Sound Solution.

Sam3 is $199 - and in my opinion is better for radio - ots better for club dj work.
