Old aircheck of Jay Andres overnight show on WGN Chicago

This short aircheck is from 1981, it is the opening of the Jay Andres show. Jay Andres had a few more years at WGN. He did overnights with a mix of classical/easy listening for many years in Chicago at WGN and some other stations.

Jay really had great pipes.

In 1981 the radio studios were still on the second floor on the South side of the building at 2501 W. Bradley Place. The East most studio had a sofa,, lamps, carpeting, and low level lighting so the "mood" was right for Jay's music (Franklyn MacCormack died in 1971 or 2).
