From http://www.buckeyeag.com/article.php?aid=20081113171914422:

Kansas City - The members of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting elected Lindsay Hill of the Agri Broadcast Network (ABN) of Ohio to serve as Vice President of the organization at their annual convention in Kansas City this week. Hill, owner and Chief Operating Officer of AdVance Broadcast & Communication is a 10-year veteran of agricultural media and rural news radio. As Vice President of the professional organization representing agricultural broadcast journalists, Hill will serve on the NAFB Board of Directors, and will work alongside the members of the Executive Committee to lead the NAFB.

Hill, a graduate of The Ohio State University's College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, began her media career studying at the hand of the late "Dean of Farm Broadcasters" Ed Johnson, an NAFB Hall of Famer, and founder of ABN Radio & Television. Hill's work at ABN has spanned tenures ranging from a college internship at ABN to her current role as owner and lead broadcaster.

A recipient of the Ohio State University Alumni Association's William Oxley Thompson Award for Outstanding Early Career Achievement, Hill is recognized as a leader in agricultural media, focusing on telling the story of Ohio's food producers and farm families through radio, and television, as well as through Ohio's Homepage for Agriculture, BuckeyeAg.com. ABN Radio, celebrating 36 years as "Ohio's Voice for Agriculture," promotes agriculture and the lifestyle of rural Ohioans through a 65-station radio news network. Over 15,000 producers visit the network's website weekly, and Hill's writings are found on her personal blog at the site.

Hill, a life-long resident of De Graff, Ohio, grew up on a family grain farm still operated by her father and brother. In the tradition of Ed Johnson, she and her husband Andy Vance originate ABN's broadcasts from the farm, with the network's operational headquarters opening later this year in the Fawcett Center for Tomorrow at Ohio State.

In her acceptance of the nomination to serve as NAFB Vice President, Hill told the members that she firmly believes that "success happens when passion meets leadership." Her tenure as NAFB Vice President will commence in January. She will serve successive terms as Vice President, President-Elect, and President of the organization.
