Noticed something unusual while checking the NFL regional TV assignments for this Sunday, October 1st. It's a single afternoon game weekend for FOX; however the network has both Los Angeles teams in the early and late afternoon slots--Rams at Cowboys in the early slot, and Eagles at Chargers in the late slot. Appears the Rams will be on KTTV, while the Chargers will be on KCOP.
Very unusual that the singleheader network would get two games in the LA market (as well as the morning game from London.) Can't recall this happening before in any of the three dual-team markets; usually the NFL avoids such scheduling. Anyone recall a previous such occurrence where both teams are on the same singleheader network?
