From Radio Insight:
I'll bet that their expenses are high, especially regarding podcasts. I subscribe to several, and am frequently amazed how large of staff is behind the scenes to produce just one podcast: Fact-Checkers, Editors, Writers, Original Music Score Producers, Talent, all the folks collecting a paycheck for one or two spots/sponsorships per podcast.

A January story in The Hill about media job cuts also mentioned that other media outlets like the Washington Post, Gannett, and CNN are experiencing some staff cuts as well. They also say that the 2022 media job cuts were up 20% from those in 2021. Blaming drops in advertising income.
