New Year, New Voices, And Shows On WESA Pittsburgh.
WESA Pittsburgh adds new voices and new programs for the new year. Priyanka Tewari succeeds the recently retired Maria Scapellato as the local host of “Morning Edition” and Jeremy Scott

Changes will take place on January 8th and 9th.
Tewari joins WESA from Philadelphia NPR affiliate news/talk WHYY, where she served as the local host of “All Things Considered.” Scott’s career has included positions at stations in Parkersburg and Martinsburg, WV; Galena, AK; Peoria, IL; and Cambridge and Coshocton, OH.
Additionally, WESA adds five shows to its Sunday lineup, effective Jan. 8.
The new programs include: “The People’s Pharmacy” (7-8am), “Freakonomics Radio” (2-3pm), “Notes from America with Kai Wright” (6-7pm), and “Climate One” (8-9pm). Returning to the schedule is “Fresh Air Weekend,” which will broadcast Sundays from 3-4pm.
Several other shows on the WESA weekend lineup will air at new times, including “Radiolab” (Saturdays, 1-2pm), “This American Life” (Saturdays, 2-3pm), “The Pulse” (Saturdays, 4-5pm), “Hidden Brain” (Sundays, 12-1pm), “Wait, Wait… Don’t Tell Me” (Sundays, 1-2pm), “It’s Been A Minute” (Sundays, 4-5pm), and “This American Life” (Sundays, 6-7pm).
