New KIPO transmitter site nears completion

The Hawaii Public Radio construction project atop Pu`u O`hia (Tantalus) is nearing completion. Pictures can be found here:

The new Nautel 10KW transmitter arrives at the site on Monday the 25th of August. It should be ready to go in early September.
 
The new KIPO facility is now complete, and officially signs on at 12:00 Noon HST today (Sept. 20, 2008). Updated pictures are posted on the Hawaii Public Radio web site, as well as the links posted above.
