I was wondering if anyone knew of airchecks existing of the rock format on XHMORE-FM 98.9 (later hiphop, now ESPN radio.) I've heard good things about that era of the station and also their "Rewire" mix program.

More-FM. I'm not sure that it will do very well in the ratings because I think that David said Rock en Espanol only works in Argentina and not other Spanish speaking Countries. I know that Rock en Espanol targets the middle to upper class of Mexicans, but I'm not sure it will do very well in ratings and revenue. Last time that format didn't do too well in the San Diego ratings. It barely crack a 1 share.
