Mike Thomas at 101.5 KGB to exit

Dec. 9, as Thomas exits the company .... consolidation in the wake of the move of stations to Finest City Broadcating.<P ID="signature">______________

Thats real unfortunate. Under Mike, the station enjoyed its biggest growth and success in years. If I recall, Jim Richards programmed the station in the past - pretty ho-hum.

Perhaps they figure with KPLN going away, the station can coast a bit and doesn't need the TLC its had in the past couple of years.

KPLN was never in competition with KGB - KPLN was for the KYXY listener who really wanted to throw caution to the wind and rock on with Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel :)
