May PPM's

Well, a lot of stations didn't see much to talk about. But the ones who did, kinda really did the damn thing.
  • WMGK pops up a casual point to top the list with an 8.5.
  • WXTU (also totes cas) jumps 1.7 points, and from 8th place to 3rd.
  • WOGL more-than gives back their April bounce, dropping 1.1 points.
  • WTDY finally bests Q102! Oh wait, that’s not a thing anymore. At any rate, they bopped up to 3.2—the best showing they’ve had for quite some time. (And they said it’d never work!)

All it took was stunting with All-Taylor Swift in the 3rd week of the period and then flipping to Hot AC!

(OK, we don't know if THAT was the full cause of the jump. Let's see how the next few months play out)

GREAT book for Beasley overall.

Plus: 6+ numbers are almost meaningless, but even if the station doesn't do gangbusters in the demos, from a sales perspective (which is what radio companies care about), it's still better for them than having an also-ran CHR. Of course, this has been explained here over and over and over, but that doesn't stop this person from saying the same asinine thing over and over and over. I mean, 2 + 2 = Yellow. Whatever.

What does that bit of apparent gibberish mean? Typo?

Not a good month for non-music stations. Both KYW and WHYY dropped 1 rating point since March and WIP dropped 1 point since last month.

why is I Heart allowing Rumba more time to self destruct then it did with the Breeze that had much more life.....
It's not "self destructing". It has very good numbers for inclusion in Hispanic buys, plus the trust and credibility of iHeart.

This is nothing more than an example of why agencies, who are the principal users of Nielsen ratings, don't buy off single months. They buy off multiple month rolling averages, often ignoring December-Holiday and often, even, July and August.

I love Radio Insight's PPM tables as they show more months than others, allowing us to get a better timeline and multi-book perspective.

_______ 7. WTDY (up from #11) 9. WIP (down from #4)

Not to mention, just another expression of his overt, unabashed white nationalist agenda. I'll never understand why this person just keeps being allowed back after being banned time after time.
Frank and I are watching.

Feels odd that WMGK would do better 18-49 than 25-54.
