The Tigers had a roller coaster month, but them being back led WXYT to a big gain and a wider lead as they retain the top spot. WCSX and WOMC had slight drops but remain in the 2nd and 3rd slots. WRIF held steady in cume and is #4. WJR saw a significant drop in cume and dropped three places to #5, but still turned in a solid performance for this time of year. I expect the station to continue to do well through the elections and will likely see a bump in July and August when the Conventions are held. WYCD increased by a FULL POINT! Time will tell if this was a blip, but this is the stations best performance since NASH came on the scene and disrupted its streak and the top music station in the market. WNIC and WWJ rounded out the Top 10. Two AMs in the Top 10.....not too shabby for a dead frequency, huh!
Wherever WYCD found its new listeners, it doesn't appear to be at the expense of NASH which was essentially flat.
105.1 turned in another poor performance still under a 1 share. The lack of a Tiger simulcast left WXYT-AM at a 0.1 share. In past years, they'd get up to a 0.5 or so in the months when the Tigers played.
