M-Audio Microtrack II Question

Just bought an M-Audio Microtrack II from Guitar Center and from the get-go have experienced a tempermental on-off switch. It was new when I bought it, not a re-furb. The item has worked superbly when I can actually get it to turn on. Last use indicated more than 50% charge in the battery. Is there a re-set? Has anyone else experienced this type of quirk with this model? The unit has been treated with care, never dropped or abused. Your assistance is appreciated.
