LIFT FM offered to buy Harold Camping's Philly Station

We at LIFT FM offered to buy Harold Camping's Family Radio Station, WKDN, (CAMDEN/PHILADELPHIA). Considering the fact that Family Radio representatives are asserting the end of world will take place, May 21, it was our impression that they would be eager to sell.

Unfortunately, we never got beyond a receptionist and leaving a voice-mail message with someone in charge of station sales and acquistions.
We phoned them no less than 20 - 30 times.

Our offer was to pay for the station immediately and to take over the station until November 2011. In this way, they can use our money immediately for their ministry purposes and to declare the end is coming. We would not take over broadcasting our content until a long time after the world ended as they are asserting.

If the representatives at Family Radio truly believed that the world will end as we know it on May 21, they would have taken action with regards to our offer. They don't even believe their President's claim.
 
And realistically, why would they sell a station just because "the world is going to end?"
If there's not going to be a world after that date, the money won't be worth much either.
Maybe they're thinking...in case it all doesn't go down on May 12, they'd rather have a radio station in the hand than some potential money in the bush, so to speak.
 
Back when Camping made his other end of world prediction, in the 1990's, I believe it was 1996, on an NBC-TV interviewer asked Camping if he truly believed the world was ending next week, just sell us this one little station in LA. Camping smiled and said no. It's unfortunate, that Mr. Camping insists on making the Christian community look like a bunch of fools.

Even Jesus said that only his Father in heaven knows the date, so how dare Harold Camping or anyone else presume to know more about the date than even Jesus, God's son, knows. The bottom line to this is, we as followers of Jesus Christ, are to be ready to be called up to meet our Lord at any time as it could be the next second or a million years from now. ONLY God the Father knows the answer.
 
Damn this same guy who has been posting Judgement day Billboards in San Francisco and Oakland on AM 610 is selling his Philly station on May 21 that is crazy. I like to see the financial books
 
Somebody in Oakland and San Francisco who is a camping supporter is hiding him. Heck we made Camping the new Glenn Beck. I hope Camping didn't just use this date to commit Suicide. Look in Oakland yesterday, More Anti-Camping groups were waiting outside the Family Radio's 610 AM studios partying like its New Year if you see video from the KGO-TV report lots of San Francisco Media and anti-Camping groups were waiting if he will explain himself. OK Lets protest outside History Channel offices next year and go after the Camping type people who started the 2012 scare. and 2 I hope KNDL the dead religious station in Napa takes over the 610am Frequency.
 
LIFT FM is a local oriented radio station network . Local High School games, concerts, weather, community event mentions etc., are all part of the normal broadcast day. josh
 
Look Mr. Camping isn't just in trouble in the USA, Mr Camping also has issues in the Philippines he exploited people in Metro Manila to block a freeway during the evening rush hour over there. remember in 1993 when KYLD 107.7's ManCow (Now Fox News Contributor) got busted by the CHP for Blocking the Bay Bridge during the morning Rush Hour. I think Mr.Camping needs to not only explain himself with US officials but also with Philippine officials over his stunts.
 
If Harold Camping was Muslim and tried to predict Judgement Day from a politician's house in Pakistan. Everybody in the USA will take this as a 9/11 style threat and have the US Army and Marines bomb Mr.Campings hiding place. Except Camping is trying to use Bin Laden Tactics by doing scripted propaganda from his Various hiding places in Oakland and San Francisco.
 
If a lot of things were different, Camping would be arrested/detained/bombed.
Then again, if...if...if...many things happened, then Camping might have been right or had a different conclusion. You never know.

Camping doesn't exactly have the power to incite people to violence that bin Laden had, so the hypothetical analogy there doesn't work (edit: either of the nine times you've posted it).
He's only expressing his findings based on shoddy science and theology, not really inciting people to kill other people.
