Legal Verses Illegal Web Streams

I see so many stations that are streaming and when I check their web site there's nothing about any sort of compliance with DMCA or other royalties. I've also seen stations that are hosted on Loudcity and Live365 that fall into the "hobbyist" class that are linking to their streams illegally and breaking compliance with the licensing afforded by their stream hosts. How do these guys do it without getting caught?

There is always going to be some joker out there who defies the rules and tries to "beat the system". Some get caught, some don't. But it's always best to stay in the "straight and narrow" when it comes to DMCA and royalities. Now obviously, you are compliant. My internet station Superstation XRB is also 100% compliant. As long as we do "our part" in staying compliant and play by the rules, we can feel good about our stations. The jerks who try to circumvent the rules will eventually get whats coming to them. What they do, means crap to me.

Just stay compliant and enjoy the ride.
