By the way, home studios are tax deductible. They are home offices. You can deduct the portion of your home's mortgage or rent, utilities, and improvements.

There is no reason why a person in radio doesn't have a home studio.
 
Not any longer. That provision was removed in the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act, except in the case of freelancers.

I should have mentioned Schedule C. I love Schedule C. Everybody in radio is a freelancer. Or can be. In one way or another.

There is a limit on the use of Schedule C, and it supposedly can not be applied to working at home if the normal conditions of employment don't require this.
