KDFI 27 Change September 1st?

Just saw a short promo on KDFI saying that on September 1st KDFI as you know it will change forever. Does anyone know what this is about?

Well, looking at the schedule, KDFI has a Rangers game at 7pm on September 1st.
I wonder if perhaps this game will be run in HDTV on KDFI? That would be a pretty big deal. Currently the only HDTV baseball you can see is Fox's game of the week or games on ESPN. Locally produced games have not been in HD.

Just a thought.

Nope. The DTV transmitter has been on the air for several years. It's getting an upgrade in power, but that hardly seems like something they would promote.
I think it might be that the Rangers game that night will be in HDTV, but I have seen no information about that anywhere.

Actually, WGN in Chicago has been producing HD games at Wrigley Field all season; and I think they've done a couple of Sox games as well.

Yes, but WGN is not in Dallas. To my knowledge, there have been no locally produced HD games in the DFW area.
