Jolly Joe Timmer

Many months ago they mentioned he was having back problems. He was doing a couple commercials VIA telephone live on his show back then.

30 years? Maybe 40+: I remember driving through the area often in the early '70's when WHOL was the valley's only country station (500 watts daytime on 1600, how much worse could it be?) & every time instead of country, there was Jolly Joe & the polka music! Was glad when WCRV came along, even with their signal not that great in most of the valley at least they didn't break format!
