Joe Flaherty of SCTV

In my opinion, his best SCTV character was news anchor Floyd Robertson, constantly being foiled by some stupid thing that his co-anchor, Earl Camembert (Eugene Levy) was saying.

He was also the "star" of the Sammy Maudlin Show sketches on SCTV.

What a wonderful show SCTV was!

It was only several hours after I posted this that I remembered that "Floyd Robertson" was a play on the name of longtime national Canadian TV anchor Lloyd Robertson.
