Is the KSSK simulcast coming to an end?

I noticed that KSSK has updated their graphics and eliminated mentions of 590 AM and is instead focusing solely on 92.3 FM. I wonder what happens next to 590.

Many AM stations that are simulcast with a sister FM have either put the FM first or just dropped the AM reference. KSL... WSB and many others.

I wonder.. could the AM fill some holes that the fm has due to terrain shielding or some such and thats why they keep it as is and have for so long .. long after am simulcasts of big fm stations ended?
