You get a direct feed from Metro in Tampa regarding all Bay Area Traffic alerts, Amber alerts, etc.

They've been out in the market for awhile. Any one here buy one, and how much did it cost?

I ask because today at Citrus Park....I beg your pardon, Westfield Shoppingtown in Citrus Park, they were giving them away for free.

Signs said if you showed reciepts of $25 of merchandise bought today at the Mall, you'd get one free.

By 1 PM, they were just handing them out to anyone that passed by, two to a person.

>My former co-workers at The Tampa Tribune tell me that all the outside sales reps were given the device by the paper. Probably some sort of trade.

Most useful Father's Day gift to date! Who needs the other reports that are given by inexperienced reporters with missing road conditions? Even gives weather information! You can't get a better deal!

Not sure whom you're referring to as inexperienced....service is provided by Metro Networks...the same folks who feed the Tampa Infinity stations and a few AM's.

CC has their own staff, and apparantly Cox has one guy who does all their stations....

Well I wasn't referring to Metro if that's what you were wondering studiotwenty.
And I don't think there is only one "guy" doing traffic for all the Cox stations, at least Denise doesn't sound like a guy to me!
