I live near Sacramento and was scrolling through my FM band today. I tuned into 96.5 FM and received four different stations bleeding over each other. The strongest one I heard was K243CF (KOBO-AM translator) from Yuba City, broadcasting Punjabi music. The second strongest was K243CH (KVGC-AM translator) from Jackson, broadcasting Classic Hits. I also got KOIT from San Francisco, broadcasting Adult Contemporary music. Finally, I faintly heard KLCA from Tahoe City/Reno, NV, mixed in with K243CF, broadcasting Top-40/CHR music.
When I tune in to 96.5 FM, I usually hear the KOBO or KVGC translator.
I rarely get KOIT and KLCA. However, I received KOIT's HD signal a few times but never for KLCA.
Anyway, I just found this very interesting.
