iHeartMedia and ViacomCBS’ CMT have announced an extension and expansion of their content partnership.
The deal began in late 2013 when “CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan” distribution was taken over by iHeart’s Premiere Networks and Alan also began hosting After Midnite.
As part of the extension a new on-air feature devoted to CMT’s Next Women of Country initiative spotlighting music from a different female artist each month will be added. The feature includes new music, and a dedicated interview with Alan that will play each Wednesday throughout the month on “CMT After MidNite” and “CMT Radio Live” and weekly social media promotion.
