How many FM stations can you recieve?

Thought this might be interesting, at my home place (near Austin Texas) I can recieve nearlly 50 stations most all the time. I dx to San antonio mostly, I have tried Houston, but most of the time i'm to San antonio. Down at my place in Southern Lavaca county Texas, I can recieve 52+ stations there. Most all of the stations I recieve at home I can get in my car. thats not counting the am stations I can recieve.

When I lived in Central Florida - it was about 80. That is with narrow ceramic filters in the tuner, a good DX tuner, and counting different stations that could be received on the same frequency by rotating the antenna.

With no DX:

Bout 50

Thats in Kenosha, WI. Mix of Milwaukee, Chicago and suburban stations.

And thats with the average radio. If I had any special antennas or tuners I could probably get more.
______________

Short answer is at least one per frequency. Closest thing to a blank spot on the dial is 107.3 but I often get one of about five stations on it. This is the Dayton, Ohio area.
______________

In Memphis on a normal day somewhere around 35. Of course I'm in the middle of the city with no special radio. And there's multipath all over the dial.

In Coldwater, MI, I can get quite a few FM stations. I would estimate about 30 stations come in with a good signal. A lot like gr8oldies, it would be better if I told you what stations I DON'T get anything on regularly. Those would be 97.1, 99.5, 101.9, 103.7, 104.3, 105.9 and 107.1. But living in a three-way between Chicago, Detroit and Indianapolis, it's not uncommon to hear their stations albeit very faintly on most of those stations.
______________

With flat winter zero tropo:
49 in car
92 with outdoor antenna and rotor

When the DX gets going, it's really hard to DX because my band has been just crammed by the FCC here in Ohio and it's going to get even worse.
